As no doubt you are aware, Alaska is an immense state with a small population of less than 800,000 residents. Half of Alaska's population lives in the state's largest city of Anchorage. Anchorage is located in what is called "SouthCentral" Alaska. It is estimated that over 80% of Alaska's population lives in "SouthCentral" Alaska, which includes the Kenai Peninsula, ( see area #2 in the Regional Map below) and probably contains a similar percentage of all the roads in Alaska. Accordingly, most of the maps and information in this site pertain to "SouthCentral" Alaska.
